FUNDING EMERGENCY UPDATE: We are still making progress toward our goal. We have only two days left. Our current fundraiser thermometer total is $10,270. We can reach our emergency funding goal by raising the remaining $4,730 by Sunday at 5:00 PM. Send others to this web page, share the brochure and do all you can to help us meet this emergency funding total, so we can open for clients Monday!

Happy Thanksgiving: Thank you! We are so grateful to all our friends and supporters for helping in a variety of ways throughout the year! We still have a remainder of our funding goal to reach, but we are thankful to have made it this far with the help of some amazing people.

There is a printable brochure available for download, if you would like to download and share it with family and friends.

FUNDING EMERGENCY UPDATE: In consideration of our progress and the Thanksgiving holiday, we have been granted yet another extension of our deadline. Thank you so much for helping us get this far! We are truly grateful for the show of support by friends and donors.

We will be unable to open our doors to clients on Monday, unless we are able to raise the remainder of the $15,000 by Sunday at 5:00 PM (12/01/2013). If we do not meet our emergency funding goal, our clients' families' will have to find other care facilities or figure out how to arrange continuous full-time care for loved ones at home with various family members.

Our clients have special needs and various cognitive and physical limitations. Many require intensive attention and care that family members are unable to give 24/7. Divine Destiny Adult Care provides care during the weekday, so family members can work or tend to other matters, while knowing loved ones are receiving the care they need. We do not just "babysit" our clients and attend to their medical needs. We engage our clients in stimulating physical and mental activities to preserve and strengthen capabilities that would otherwise deteriorate.

Our services are unique! Clients and their families rely on us to provide the care that allows them to remain together at home and avoid involving long-term nursing homes or other institutions. Divine Destiny Adult Care, Inc. provides specialized care and an environment not found at other local facilities.

We have another four days to meet our emergency funding needs. It can be done, but only with your help. Continue to share our fundraiser with others. Please give, if you have not already!

FUNDING EMERGENCY UPDATE: Thank you all so much for your contributions and efforts to spread the word about our emergency fundraiser! We have raised over $10,000 in total, since yesterday. We were granted an additional day to raise the remaining $5,000 to meet our funding emergency. We are so close! Every little bit counts. Our deadline was extended to 5:00 PM today (11/26/2013). With your help, we know we can reach the goal and continue to provide services our clients desperately need and rely upon to remain with their families!

FUNDING EMERGENCY: Help us raise $11,000 by the end of the day!

Other funding we were expecting did not come through. We are now in need of $11,000 by 5:00 PM today. Please help by contributing now!

Divine Destiny Adult Care is the only thing preventing many of our clients going to nursing homes or being institutionalized. Our facility enables their family members to work and still keep their loved ones close to home.

To continue offering services, we must raise a total of $15,000 today (11/25/2013). Please donate and share this page with anyone you think will be able to help us. Thank you!

Dear Friend;

We celebrated our first anniversary in September and doubled our client population in October.

Lowes’ Heroes developed and planted a vegetable and flower garden in the Open Oasis area last month.

With your generosity, we have achieved a lot in one year, but there is much more to be done. We need to raise $25,000 before the end of the year.

Today I ask for your support to help Divine Destiny continue its work: providing respite to families and supervision and stimulation to individuals with Alzheimer’s/related cognitive conditions and physical challenges.

This is intensely personal for me. My father died of Alzheimer’s, and my son is physically challenged. Perhaps some of you have been touched by one of these challenges and know the frustration that daily interactions often bring.

Divine Destiny is at the forefront in care for those who are mentally or physically challenged. In addition to supervision, we offer physical and mental stimulation to each of our clients. We are the only state-licensed facility in Johnston County.

If someone you love has suffered from Alzheimer’s or a physically debilitating disease, please share your story with us. You might also want to join our support group.

Your generosity in helping us meet our goal of $25,000 will be appreciated. Please donate $15, $20, $35, $50 or more today.
